Azomethine H - Introduction
Azomethine-H(Azomethine-H) is an organic compound containing a hydrous group. The following is a description of the nature, use, preparation and safety information of the Azomethine-H:
Nature:
-Appearance: Azomethine-H common yellow to orange yellow solid.
-Melting point: The melting point of the Azomethine-H is usually between 100-110°C.
-Solubility: It can be dissolved in water and some organic solvents, such as ethanol and acetone.
Use:
- Azomethine-H is often used in the synthesis and storage of nitrogen dioxide (NO2), as an oxidant, explosive source or fluorescent dye precursor.
-In analytical chemistry, Azomethine-H can also be used as a copper ion detector, which can form a clearly visible blue complex with copper.
Method:
-The most common method of synthesizing Azomethine-H is through the condensation reaction of formaldehyde and ethylenediamine. The reaction is carried out at low temperature and the resulting yellow precipitate is Azomethine-H.
Safety Information:
- Azomethine-H can cause skin and eye irritation. Wear appropriate protective gloves and goggles to avoid contact with skin and eyes during handling and use.
-Avoid contact with oxidants and flammable materials.
-Storage should be sealed in a cool and dry place, away from fire and open flame.
-Please read the safety data sheet and Operation Manual of the product carefully before use, and follow the correct operating procedures. If an accident occurs, seek medical help immediately.
